Referring a patient: what we send back, and when

This page is written for referring clinicians rather than patients. It states what a referral gets, what comes back to your chart, and where we decline, so you can decide whether a given patient fits.

Patients commonly referred

Referral is usually appropriate where conservative management has plateaued.

  • Localised musculoskeletal pain with an identified structural target
  • Post-injury cases that have plateaued on rehabilitation
  • Patients asking about peptides who need a documented, evidence-grounded evaluation
  • Longevity and metabolic optimisation requests you would rather not manage in a short visit

Where we decline

Red-flag neurological presentations, suspected infection or malignancy, unstable structural injury, and requests for compounds we consider inappropriate or unavailable for that patient. Declining is documented and returned to you with the reasoning.

What returns to your chart

An evaluation summary, the reasoning behind any plan, what was and was not recommended, monitoring parameters, and the review point. Co-management is the default assumption; we are not asking you to transfer the patient.

Questions people ask about this

Do you take over the patient's primary care?
No. Co-management is the default. The referring clinician remains the patient's primary relationship and receives documentation of everything we evaluate and recommend.
What do you send back after the evaluation?
A written summary covering findings, the reasoning, what was recommended and declined, monitoring parameters, and the review point.
Can I get a profile page in your directory?
Yes. Clinicians can submit a profile for review, which is published as a page of its own once checked for accuracy. A listing is informational and is not an endorsement.
